This policy explains what information Pūʻiwa Farms Hawaiʻi collects when you visit puiwafarms.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We are a small family farm, and we collect as little as we can get away with.

What we collect
Information you give us
- When you order: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number.
- When you create an account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored encrypted; we cannot read them.
- When you contact us or apply for a job: whatever you put in the form, including anything in the message field.
- When you subscribe: your email address.
Payment information
We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled by our payment processors, who take your card information directly. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, along with the last four digits and card type for your order record.

- Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit on our site.

Why we use it
- To take, pack and ship your order, and to contact you about it.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To consider job applications.
- To send harvest notes and restock dates, if you asked for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site working, prevent fraud, and understand which pages people actually use.
- To meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that make the shop work, and only as much as they need:
- BigCommerce — hosts the store and processes orders on our behalf.
- Our payment processors — handle payment and fraud checks.
- FedEx — receives the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your order.
- Our email provider — sends order confirmations and, if you subscribed, harvest notes.
- Our marketing companies — remarket products to customers based on previous interactions, including searches, past order history and email correspondence.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them to keep your cart, keep you signed in, remember your cookie choices, and measure how the site is used. You can refuse non-essential cookies through the banner on the site, or block cookies in your browser — though the cart and checkout will not work without the essential ones.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete it. Job applications are kept for up to one year unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Marketing emails stop the moment you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Write to info@puiwafarms.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you specific rights, including the right to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Our products are not intended for children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS and payment details go straight to our processors. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the site.
